It’s the start of April. Approximately three months since I posted my resolutions for the New Year. I can safely say I managed three out of five resolutions. Not perfect, but not bad either. The resolutions I managed were numbers 3, 4, and 5. As you can see from my progress bar, I’ve edited 258 out of 274 pages since January began. Also, I’m 25 pages into my new novel, and everyone seems to agree that my new novel is going swimmingly. The writing group I joined almost a year ago started arguing over the mystery surrounding one of my characters which just tickled me pink. It’s so nice to have people enjoy my writing. Of course, I gave away no secrets.
In the interests of resolutions 1 and 2, I’ve updated my list of Asian American Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers to include Ken Liu and Wesley Chu. Ken Liu and Wesley Chu have written two new books titled The Grace of Kings and Time Salvager. I have not read either yet (I have been too busy writing myself), but I look forward to reading their books soon.
Both writers will be holding readings in New York City at the KGB Bar. Ken Liu’s reading will be held on April 15. Wesley Chu’s reading will be held on May 20. The readings will be held at 7 PM.
The KGB Bar is known for holding regular readings by a multitude of authors throughout the year. They are located at 845 East 4th Street. Check out their calendar.
Happy reading folks.
